Frank Sammut is a Mechanical Engineer who has spent the last 30 years working in the food industry holding a range of roles in Engineering and Manufacturing and moving into senior operations roles, expanding his responsibility into Warehousing and Logistics, Planning, Procurement and New Product Development. He has worked in the snack, baking and confectionery industries.

His experiences range from small business to multi-national companies. In the 1980s he ran a family company which manufactured and wholesaled snacks and confectionary. He spent the last twenty years in national and mult-national companies such as Arnotts Snack Foods, Frito Lay Australia and Snack Brands Australia. Most recently he was Operations Director for Sara Lee Bakery Australia.

Frank has been involved in acquisitions, due diligence exercises, sales of business units and major assets, outsourcing of manufacturing, integration of businesses, organisational restructures, ERP implementation and strategic reviews.

Frank’s early career was in the swimming pool industry and heavy manufacturing.

Frank is a member of the Institution of Engineers and a member of the Manufacturing Society of Australia. He also a member of the NSW Business Chamber and sits on their Regional Advisory Council for the Central Coast.
